Betty White, America's Sweetheart, says she taught Cam Newton to Dab

The “dab” has become a signature move for Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, and its become a flash-point for some social commentators as well. However, while the dance move has caught on in pop culture thanks to Newton, he may have a rival for the best version of the move allegedly started by Atlanta-based rap group “Migos.” It comes from an interesting source, too — Betty White.

The old-school comedy vet took to having some fun for CBS in a promo spot directed by Ron Howard, one that saw her doing the “dab” in epic fashion.

Yes, that is 94-year-old Betty White going in on #TeamNewton in front of your very eyes. Betty White may have ended America’s biggest dance-related crisis. Or caused a totally new one.
