One of the New York Giants’ all-time greats will make his return home on Friday. Defensive end Justin Tuck will sign with the franchise on a one-day contract in order to retire as a member of his first NFL team, according to ESPN.

Tuck is a two-time Super Bowl champion with the Giants, and was a ferocious edge rusher for the team from 2005-13. Tuck ultimately tallied 60.5 sacks in New York, hitting double digit sack totals in four of his nine seasons in blue. He was a pro-bowler in 2008 and 2010 and made First-Team All-Pro in 2008.

Tuck left the Giants for the last two years of his career to play for the Oakland Raiders. He enjoyed moderate productivity in 2014, but only played in five games last season, recording just one sack and seven total tackles.

His regular season production was top notch, but Tuck’s ability to shine on the biggest stage is what will ultimately endear him most to Giants fans. The Giants were the Patriots’ kryptonite and Tuck was a big reason why.
