The Gumball 3000 sounds like the name of children’s race at the local fair. In reality, it’s a annual 3,000-mile international motor rally that takes drivers all across Europe.

This year, The Batmobile will be one of the participating cars.

The car is actually a Lamborghini Gallardo that has been fitted with a whole lot of carbon fiber and add-ons to make it as much like Batman’s ride of choice as possible. According to the video, the lead engineer spent a year working for noted Swedish car shop Koenigsegg, known for putting together outlandish luxury race cars such as this one.

The Gumball will take the car from Dublin to London to Prague and eventually Bucharest with a whole slew of notable stops in between. The rally, which was started in 1999, has become an event that loves to showcase over-the-top vehicles and mesh the experience with music and fashion. So it might be the one real-world event where a Batmobile doesn’t seem all that out of place.

At least until they get out on the road.
