The Atlanta Braves are making a nice gesture to those in the southeast displaced by Hurricane Irma this weekend. On Thursday, the team announced that they would be offering free tickets to this weekend’s series against the Miami Marlins to anyone in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, or South Carolina that has been displaced by Hurricane Irma.

All you need for your free ticket is a state ID, according to the team.

Residents can come to the Braves ticket office on the day of the game, show their valid state I.D. and receive a complimentary ticket.

“We know how difficult it has been for those who have had to pack up and leave their homes as Hurricane Irma approaches,” said Derek Schiller, Braves President of Business. “We hope we can help take their mind off the storm for a few hours by coming to enjoy a baseball game at SunTrust Park.”

As the team stated, these people that have been displaced have enough going on in their lives – why not relax for a night, or two, or three, or four at SunTrust Park?
