The Los Angeles Dodgers have been smacked silly with the injury bug in 2016.

The club announced on Wednesday that starters Brett Anderson and Scott Kazmir have been placed on the 15-day DL. Anderson has been dealing with blister problems, while Kazmir is out with neck inflammation. This is Anderson’s second stint on the DL this season, but Kazmir’s placement on the DL ties MLB’s record for most players placed on a DL in a single season in league history.

Los Angeles have been in injury trouble from the getgo, entering April with 10 players on the DL. Since then, it’s only gotten worse. Here’s a full list of Dodgers’ DL stints since the season began.

26. Louis Coleman – 15-day DL, right shoulder fatigue (August 3rd)

27. Scott Kazmir – 15-day DL, neck inflammation (August 23rd)

At their current pace, the Dodgers are surely going to break the injury record with 37 games remaining.

Despite the massive influx of injuries to the MLB roster, Los Angeles remains first in the NL West with 70-55 record. Credit should go to first year manager Dave Roberts, who deserves serious consideration for manager of the year. 2016 might not be pretty, but thankfully a tied record amount of injuries hasn’t sunk the Dodgers season – at least not yet.
