Reggie Wayne and Ed Reed both played at Miami in the U’s resurgence into prominence in the early 2000s. Though the two were on opposite sides of the ball, they lived together while in Coral Gables.

Needless to say, things probably got pretty weird at the home of Wayne and Reed. As we have found out, one of the strange incidents involved Wayne’s pet snake.

Wayne, who is now an analyst with NFL Network, appeared on The Rich Eisen Show on Tuesday. The former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver retold this tale of his snake and its tragic death.

If you didn’t understand what happened, here’s a breakdown:

Wayne and Reed lived together in 2001 and lived with Wayne’s snake, Law.

Wayne ended up getting drafted a year ahead of Reed. As a result, Wayne left the snake with his former roommate. As Wayne soon found out, Reed pretty much neglected to kill the snake and the animal ended up dying.

Wayne joked during the interview about Reed trying to pay him back. This is still a pretty wild story. I can’t even imagine what crazy things went on in that living situation.
