Sportsmanship is often talked about and rarely displayed. Every person participating in an event should have a modicum of humanity and help their fellow competitors. When two-time Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee helped his brother Johnny cross the finish line, he took the standard of sportsmanship to an entirely different level.

It is one of the best moments I have seen in sports recently. We are all so concerned about winning and losing. At the core of it all, we are just people mucking about and making up games to appease ourselves. Helping your brother and being selfless isn’t just the right move, it is a gesture that should be observed by everyone across all sports.

The most unbelievable part? When they approach the finish line, Alistair Brownlee makes sure Johnny crosses before him. If you don’t have tears in your eyes, you may in fact be a monster. What a fantastic display from these two.
