Barcelona has had a rough couple weeks. They had no choice to sell Neymar to PSG after they activated his massive 222 million Euro release clause. And to replace him, Barcelona keeps attempting and failing at this time to sign Philipe Coutinho from Liverpool and now Ousmane Dembele from Borussia Dortmund. Things got worse after the security group OurMine hacked Barcelona’s Twitter accounts last night and revealed that PSG’s Angel Di Maria was signing.

Thanks to For The Win for the screenshots of the tweets.

The tweets were up over a half hour before Barcelona deleted the tweets and said they were hacked.

The thing is that, despite Barcelona needing stronger passwords, Angel Di Maria to Barcelona may not be all that far fetched. It might be a bit awkward since Di Maria used to play for Real Madrid but after failed stints at Manchester United and now at PSG, Di Maria probably would be open to a move.

And given Barcelona has all this Neymar money to burn and they’re struggling to buy players they want like Coutinho and Dembele, they may be forced to go further down the list and get someone like Di Maria. Di Maria hasn’t been his great self since leaving Real in 2014 but at just 29-years-old, there’s still something there and could prove to be a temporary solution until they’re able to buy someone better in the winter or next summer. Just expect Barcelona to massively overpay for Di Maria since everyone knows Barcelona has all this money.
