In the wild world of game-night promotions, the Dallas Mavericks have come up with something new: Redhead Night.

Redhead Night will take place in Dallas on March 9, when the Mavericks play the Detroit Pistons. Via the team’s official site, here’s what the big night entails.
Join us for the inaugural Dallas Mavericks Redhead Night! All redheads, family, and friends are invited to participate in this special night and ticket package.
Package Includes:
- Discounted Game Ticket
- Commemorative Mavs Redhead Night T Shirt
- McDonald’s Value Meal Voucher
- Access to McDonald’s Photo Booth with guest appearance by Ronald McDonald
- Photo Booth and t-shirt pickup located outside section 109 throughout game
The Mavericks don’t currently have any redheads on their team, and haven’t had any notable redheads in their past (Delonte West?), but maybe they can borrow Matt Bonner from the Spurs for the night? Maybe Jason Garrett will show up?
Allowing people who look a certain way to get special treatment at a sporting event sounds like a dangerous game, but the Mavs will probably get away with redhead night. Redheads take enough crap most of the time that they deserve a night for themselves.
