The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl back in 2020 but were unable to visit the White House due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But after beating the Philadelphia Eagles to win the championship once again this year, the team will get to celebrate their victory with the President in Washington D.C. this time.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Kansas City Chiefs will be visiting United States President Joe Biden at the White House on Monday to celebrate their Super Bowl victory over the Eagles.

“The Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs are set to visit the White House on Monday. The Chiefs did not visit the White House after their Super Bowl LIV victory in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” Schefter wrote on Twitter on Monday. “It’s the first United States President that Andy Reid has visited since Bill Clinton, when he was an assistant coach with the Green Bay Packers.”

It’s a pretty big announcement for the team as they get to celebrate their accomplishment from last season, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on social media as a result.

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will now look to defend their Super Bowl title this season and hope to be back at the White House next year.
