Alabama will play the Michigan Wolverines in the 2024 College Football Playoff Semifinals. The Crimson Tide and Wolverines are set to meet in the 2024 Rose Bowl Game on New Year’s Day. It’s been a while since the two big-time programs have faced off and they’ll do so on college football’s biggest stage.
Alabama’s Dallas Turner was complimentary of Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy this week. Turner fielded questions during his media availability this week and had lot to say about McCarthy.
On3 said that Turner wrote, “He stands out in the way he runs that offense. He’s kind of the general of that offense. He makes sure that they guys know what they’re doing. He’s a good quarterback overall and a good leader.”
McCarthy finished the season with a perfect 13-0 record and, at times, didn’t play full games. The Wolverines were so dominant at times that this season that McCarthy didn’t have to finish many of their early season games.
He’s shown he’s been able to make plays before and that onus will be on him again in Pasadena. The top-ranked Wolverines hope to win a CFP game for the first time and make the CFP Championship Game. That game is set for Houston, Texas, a week after the Rose Bowl on January 8. Time will tell to see who makes their way to H-Town.
