A former Alabama Crimson Tide offensive lineman has found a new home. Lineman Terrence Ferguson will jump from the Crimson Tide to the vaunted Florida State Seminoles.
Ferguson, a former Top 50 recruit from the Class of 2021, will have two years eligibility remaining after he joins the Seminoles officially.
Hayes Fawcett reported the news.
“Former Alabama OL Terrence Ferguson has committed to Florida State,” Fawcett said. “The 6’4 320 OL was ranked as a Top 35 recruit in the ’21 Class (No. 2 IOL) per On3.”

Ferguson will join a Florida State squad that will have a chip on their shoulder next season. The Seminoles went 13-1 this past season, but despite a clean regular season, they weren’t involved in the College Football Playoff. Alabama was, however, as they got into the field after a late surge.
Ferguson recently entered the transfer portal, as did several other players. And to be clear, that happened before Nick Saban announced his retirement. The transfer portal is wide open at Alabama after Saban’s retirement. But Ferguson’s move was made before that (although, there’s no telling if he knew anything we don’t).
Expect a slew of other Alabama players to hit the portal and find new homes also. Ferguson’s move to FSU could prove impactful if he stays up to par. Ferguson certainly knows what it takes to play in the trenches after playing in the SEC.
