The Denver Broncos finally defeated the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The Broncos scored a much-needed win in more ways than one, and it came against one of their most hated longtime rivals. While it appeared that snow was going to affect the game, no precipitation followed. Denver rode their way to victory and snapped a miserable, insane, and brutal streak.

As ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted, “This just in: For the first time since Sept. 17, 2015, when Peyton Manning started for Denver and Alex Smith for Kansas City — a span of 16 straight regular-season games — the Broncos have beaten the Chiefs.”

Russell Wilson starred in the victory for the Broncos. While he threw for just 114 yards, he threw three touchdown passes in the game and no interceptions. Those three TDs went to three different receivers: Courtland Sutton, Javonte Williams, and Jerry Jeudy. Both Jeudy and Sutton are potential trade targets, and with the NFL trade deadline looming, one has to wonder, perhaps, if they’ve played their last games as Broncos.

Williams also excelled on the ground with 85 rushing yards. But the Broncos didn’t find the end zone on the ground.

Patrick Mahomes played an unusually poor game. He was sacked three times by the Denver defense. Additionally, Mahomes threw two interceptions and failed to throw any touchdown passes. The Chiefs were shut out of the end zone as their points only came on field goals.

The NFL world had plenty to say about the Broncos ending their losing streak against the Chiefs.
