The Oakland A’s continue to work toward moving to Las Vegas. But as those plans continue to stall with its new stadium not expected to be complete for a few years, the team has found a temporary home in a different California city – Sacramento.

On Thursday, the team announced that it was planning to move to Sacramento for at least the 2025, 2026, and 2027 seasons as the construction of their new Las Vegas stadium continues. If the stadium construction is delayed, the A’s have an option to play there in 2028, as well.

“The A’s will begin playing in West Sacramento at the start of the 2025 MLB season and will continue until their permanent home in Las Vegas is ready to welcome fans, which is projected for Opening Day 2028,” the team said in an announcement this week. “While ticket pricing and ticket products for A’s games at Sutter Health Park are yet to be determined, we anticipate more information being made available later this summer for the 2025 season.”

Sutter Health Park, where the A’s will play their home games the next three seasons, currently has a capacity of just over 10,000 seats with grass outfield lawn seats that increase the stadium’s capacity to 14,000.
