The Baltimore Ravens enter the NFL Playoffs as the top seed in the AFC. They’ll also tote MVP candidate Lamar Jackson with them and a host of talented players on offense and defense. One addition the team made late in the season was veteran running back Dalvin Cook. After a disappointing season with the New York Jets, Cook signed a short-term deal with the Ravens very late in the season, as in just a few weeks ago.

The Ravens are a talented bunch and it’s yet to be seen what we can expect from Cook. But whatever load he shoulders, the former Florida State standout appears ready and raring.

Baltimore officially added Cook to their playoff roster after parting ways with veteran tailback Melvin Gordon. After they made the roster move, Cook spoke to the media.

“I’m not looking forward to a role or anything,” Cook said via ESPN. “They call me the No. 31, I’m going to be out. So whatever my role is, whatever they call upon me, they’ll get 1000% out of Dalvin.”

Cook will probably have plenty of doubters when he hits the field. After a strong career with the Minnesota Vikings, things lately have taken a turn down. But if Cook can find something and help lead the Ravens on a playoff run, then he’ll be playing for a lot more than just pride.
