The Triple-A affiliate for the Colorado Rockies announced their 2016 promotional schedule, and the big highlight is a “Better Caul Saul Night,” where the team will wear Saul Goodman aka Jimmy McGill jerseys, who’s the titular character from the AMC Breaking Bad spinoff Better Caul Saul.
“Fans of Albuquerque-based “Better Call Saul” better circle August 6 on their calendars, as the Isotopes will don special jerseys featuring Jimmy McGill (aka Saul Goodman). Fans will have a chance to go home with these unique jerseys by participating in a silent auction.”
The jersey features Bob Odenkirk’s Saul pointing his finger, with a cloudy blue sky as the background.

The Isotopes have some TV lore of their own, as the club was named after the fictional Springfield Isotopes from The Simpsons. It may seem bizarre for the team to have a night based on Better Call Saul, but the show – like Breaking Bad was – is filmed and set in New Mexico, so there are some geographical roots.
The other Isotopes giveaways and special events include an Orbit Soap Dispensers giveaway, a “Holly Holm Night” where the UFC star will throw out the first pitch at a game and a “Star Wars Night.”
If you want the chance to grab a Saul jersey, “Better Call Saul Night” is scheduled for August 6th. There’s been no official announcement Odenkirk will throw first pitch, but he seems to be a fan of baseball, writing a failed pilot about a minor league baseball team. I’m not a big fan of minor league baseball themed nights, but this one is pretty neat.
