In the 2010 NFL Draft, the St. Louis Rams selected Sam Bradford first overall pick out of the University of Oklahoma. On March 10, 2015, Bradford was packaged with a 2015 fifth round pick and sent to the Philadelphia Eagles for Nick Foles, a 2015 fourth-rounder, and 2016 second-rounder.
Less than a year later, Bradford’s starting job with the Eagles is being threatened by a man without a name.
ESPN reported yesterday a blockbuster draft trade between the Eagles and Cleveland Browns. Philadelphia would be sending five draft picks to Cleveland: No. 8 in the 1st round, a third-rounder (77th overall), and a fourth- round (100th overall) pick from 2016 along with a 2017 first-round pick and 2018 second-rounder. In return, the Browns are sending the number two overall pick in the 2016 draft and their 2017 fourth-round pick to the Eagles.
After the Rams made a big jump and traded up for the number one pick with the hopes of finding a new quarterback, many people believe the Eagles had the same intentions when they moved up to number two.
As a result, Philadelphia’s current starting quarterback they traded a lot to get last offseason isn’t too happy.
“(Bradford’s) hot,” a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. “Who wouldn’t be? This is Philly saying, ‘We don’t see (you) as long-term answer.’ He’s mad and wants to show everyone who’s best.’’
What makes things more awkward, CBS Sports has reported the Eagles have been assuring Bradford all offseason he will be the team’s starting quarterback. While that still may be true, Philadelphia trading up to number two does make it likely they’ll go after a potential starting quarterback in the draft.

This quote from Head Coach Doug Pederson was made shortly after Philadelphia signed quarterback Chase Daniels. That same day, Pederson did say there will be competition at the quarterback spot, which contradicts him saying Sam is the number one in a way.

Regardless of whether Daniels is in the discussion or not to be the starting quarterback, it’s easy to understand why Bradford may be upset. If it helps him at all, he isn’t the only person in Philadelphia who is upset. Fans have spoken out about the trade and some aren’t too happy.
