The Philadelphia Flyers picked up a crucial two points in the standings as the NHL regular season playoff push comes down the final stretch, but a handful of Flyers fans went home with minor injuries after an escalator at the Wells Fargo Center unexpectedly sped up with fans jumping for safety if they could.

Broad Street Hockey reports no serious injuries occurred but a number of older fans were whisked away in wheelchairs.

According to Philly.com, Comcast Spectacor (the company that owns the Wells Fargo Center) shut down the escalator later in the day for a home game for the Philadelphia 76ers and the company is working with the escalator operators to investigate the incident.
