Throughout his college recruiting process, star high school prospect Bronny James – the son of NBA legend LeBron James – has been pretty quiet, not disclosing much to anyone publically about his future plans. But it appears that the young phenom has made a decision and is ready to announce it imminently.

According to a report from basketball insider Trilly Donovan on Twitter, Bronny James has made his college decision: he’ll be playing for the USC Trojans next college basketball season.

“A very reliable source is telling me that Bronny James is expected to announce his commitment to USC at some point tomorrow,” Trilly Donovan said in a tweet on Friday night.

While Bronny James had not made much about his college recruitment public, it was widely known that he was down to three schools: the USC Trojans, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Oregon Ducks. Ultimately, it looks like he’s choosing to stay in Los Angeles where his father currently plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.

The basketball world had plenty to say about the news on Twitter.

When Bronny does make his decision official, he will be joining point guard Isaiah Collier, who is the No. 1 overall player in the 2023 high school basketball recruiting class.
