The USC Trojans, who got a commitment from prized recruit Bronny James on Saturday, have now landed the son of another NBA legend.

DJ Rodman, son of Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman, has committed to play at USC next season. He announced his decision on Instagram Tuesday.

The 22-year-old Rodman played four seasons for the Washington State Cougars before entering the transfer portal. He has one year of eligibility remaining.

If the Trojans were to host a father-son basketball game this season, the old men just might beat the current players. By the way, Rodman already has experience sharing the court with the offspring of an NBA legend. At Sierra Canyon High School, he played with Zaire Wade, the son of Dwyane Wade.

Family ties aside, Rodman can play. The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 9.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game last season.

Basketball fans had mixed thoughts on Rodman’s big announcement.
