The Alabama Crimson Tide are always among the top teams in the country. However, that may change in the 2024 college football season after their schedule for the season was released on Wednesday with a number of difficult matchups on it.
The team is notably going through some significant changes after losing star quarterback Bryce Young to the NFL Draft this spring. They have a year to work out some kinks before teams like Texas and Oklahoma join the conference, but once they do things will be getting very difficult for them.
Alabama beat writer Austin Hannon posted the 2024 schedule on Twitter, which shows road matchups against Wisconsin, Tennessee, LSU, and Oklahoma to name a few.

They also have to face the Georgia Bulldogs in Week 5 of 2024, who are looking to win their third consecutive National Championship this upcoming season.
Many took notice of the schedule and believe that it is perhaps the most difficult schedule we have seen for Alabama in the Nick Saban era.
Thank god for expanded playoffs. These SEC schedules are brutal

It was always assumed that SEC schedules as a whole would be extremely difficult for most teams once the likes of Texas and Oklahoma joined the conference.
That appears to certainly be the case, and it will definitely be interesting to see how well Alabama does in this uber-competitive conference in the future.
