Thus far, all indications are that Arch Manning will remain at Texas for the 2024 season.

But should the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning opt to explore his options following the news that Quinn Ewers will return to Austin for his senior season, there are now betting odds for where he will land.

At +200 odds, BetOnline lists LSU as the likeliest landing spot for the 18-year-old Manning should he decide to transfer. BetOnline’s full list of potential landing spots for the New Orleans native is as follows:

  • LSU +200
  • North Carolina +300
  • Ole Miss +400
  • Tulane +500
  • Alabama +600
  • Tennessee +800
  • South Carolina +1000
  • Georgia +1200
  • Texas A&M +3300

For the betting uninitiated, a successful $100 wager on LSU would return a $200 profit, while a successful $100 bet on North Carolina would return a $300 profit and so on. The Tigers’ +200 odds also carry an implied 33.33 percent probability.

Should Manning decide to remain at Texas, BetOnline also isn’t ruling out the possibility of him overtaking Ewers as the Longhorns’ starting quarterback — although it’s hardly likely. Per the sportsbook, Ewers is a -500 favorite (risk $500 to profit $100) to be Texas’ Week 1 starter in 2024 after announcing his return, while the odds of Manning starting at quarterback in the Longhorns’ season opener are set at +300.

With a grandpa (Archie Manning) who played quarterback in the NFL and two Super Bowl-winning uncles, Arch Manning arrived in Austin with plenty of fanfare as the nation’s No. 1 overall recruit last year. Initially, many believed that he would succeed Ewers as Texas’ starter following the 2023 campaign, with the fellow 5-star quarterback’s return to school for 2024 throwing a wrench in those plans.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the Longhorns’ loss to Washington in the College Football Playoff semifinal Sugar Bowl, Manning downplayed speculation regarding a potential transfer.

“Obviously there’s always rumors, especially nowadays,” he said (via On3.com). “I haven’t looked into transferring at all. I’m just focused on developing and helping this team any way I can and hopefully one day playing for the University of Texas like I’ve always wanted to.”
