Last month, the Ohio State Buckeyes made a pretty significant move by bringing in Bill O’Brien as their new offensive coordinator as head coach Ryan Day had plans to give up play-calling duties for the first time since joining Ohio State back in 2017. But after less than a month, it sounds like the Buckeyes are going to need another offensive coordinator once again.
According to a report from college football insider Pete Thamel of ESPN, Bill O’Brien is now leaving Ohio State after just a couple of weeks on the job to become the next head coach of the Boston College Eagles after previous head coach Jeff Hafley left to become the defensive coordinator with the Seattle Seahawks.

Obviously, this means that Ohio State will not have to find another offensive coordinator as Day has made it quite clear that he plans to give up play-calling duties this season.
