Saturday’s game between the Boston College Golden Eagles and the Northern Illinois Huskies produced one of the craziest and most impressive fourth-down conversions that you will ever see.

Boston College found themselves trailing 21-7 in the fourth quarter, and needed some sort of spark to get their offense going and keep their chances of winning alive.

Northern Illinois forced Boston College into a fourth down attempt with five yards to go. And Boston College quarterback Thomas Castellanos certainly made things much harder than they needed to be on the play.

Castellanos was flushed out of the pocket on the play and proceeded to go about 25 yards backward from the original line of scrimmage in an attempt to evade NIU defenders.

He was somehow able to turn the corner after juking out two NIU defenders, and then make an unbelievable throw on the run to Lewis Bond to somehow convert on this wild fourth-down play.

Fans took notice of the wild play and praised Castellanos for his incredible effort on this play.

This play would actually end up being a huge difference-maker in the game. Boston College would go on to score in the possession, and later score again late in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Unfortunately, that would be where their comeback attempt ended, as NIU would go on to score a game-winning touchdown in overtime to win their first game of the season.
