The Clemson Tigers are in the midst of their most disappointing season since 2010, falling to 4-4 on the season after a loss to NC State last week. It’s led some to guess that starting quarterback Cade Klubnik could decide to leave the team and enter the transfer portal, but it doesn’t look like that’s his plan.

During a recent press conference, Cade Klubnik made it clear that he is not planning to transfer away from Clemson this offseason.

“I’m not going anywhere. I’m sticking to this place,” Klubnik said according to On3. “I trust everybody here and I trust coach Swinney. Earlier on in his career he had some ups and downs, but look at what he did after that. We’re just going to create momentum and just continue to put our head down and work.”

Even though this has not been a particularly good season for the Tigers, Klubnik still has faith in the program and head coach Dabo Swinney.

“This is a winning program, at the end of the day. So when we have a record like we have, nobody’s used to it,” Klubnik said. “So it’s learning how to handle that. I would much rather be at a winning program than a losing program.”

We’ll have to see if Klubnik can lead them back to success next season.
