When the Notre Dame Fighting Irish defeated the USC Trojans by a lopsided score of 48-20, the Fighting Irish fans rushed the field in celebration and one of the fans taunted USC star quarterback Caleb Williams. Now, Williams is responding to the incident.

During his press conference, Caleb Williams made it pretty clear that he isn’t paying much attention to the criticism and taunting from fans.

“I mean, everybody wants to be in these two 12.5 shoes right here,” Williams told reporters when asked about the incident.

“I’m not worried about some kid running out on the field that doesn’t have anything really associated to Notre Dame other than possibly their family going there or him going there himself. Got a lot of guys over here that I’ve got to lead, so some opinion of a sheep, lions don’t worry about that stuff. Keep moving on, keep fighting. Fight on.”

After throwing three interceptions in the lopsided loss last week, Williams will try to rebound this week against a dominant Utah defense. It will certainly be interesting to see how he performs this week after he and the Trojan offense struggled mightily against the Fighting Irish during last week’s game.
