Dante Moore, one of the top-rated freshman quarterbacks in the nation, will reportedly enter the transfer portal.

Moore’s reported decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal comes just one year into his career at UCLA. The Bruins won a recruiting race against the Michigan Wolverines and Oregon Ducks, among others, for Moore’s services last spring. Evidently, though, it hasn’t taken long for Moore to decide to sprout his wings elsewhere.

247Sports’ Matt Zenitz reported the news of Moore’s intent to transfer.

“UCLA five-star freshman QB Dante Moore is set to enter the transfer portal,” Zenitz reported.

Given his talent and potential, Moore may become the most sought-after quarterback in the portal. He was an elite quarterback prospect not too long ago, with two teams potentially on the cusp of making the College Football Playoff chasing after him. Fittingly, both Oregon and Michigan may need quarterbacks next season. Both Bo Nix and J.J. McCarthy will each likely wrap up their collegiate careers after this season. So, could each decide to dip back into the pool and go after Moore?

Well, there’s undoubtedly been crazier scenarios that have come up. Perhaps you’ll see the Ducks and Wolverines emerge as contenders for Moore again, and potentially many others, as the transfer portal has really heated up on Thursday. It’s that time of year, so don’t expect it to slow down.
