The Colorado Buffaloes had a pretty rough first season under Deion Sanders, finishing the year with just a 4-8 record. Since then, Sanders and the team have gotten some bad news with several high-profile high school football recruits decommitting from the program, and now it looks like the team is losing one of its top coaches as well.
According to college football insider Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports, Colorado Buffaloes defensive ends coach Nick Williams is expected to leave the program.
“Hearing Colorado defensive ends coach Nick Williams is moving on from the program. He is one of the best recruiters in the country and an up-and-comer on the field. A Peach State native, the 33-year old Williams played his college football at Georgia,” Wiltfong said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

This is obviously pretty terrible news for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes, and the college football world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.
No way Prime canned his best recruiter for Sapp dawg lol https://t.co/SRk2rPGMfP

Sigh. 2 coaches everyone in the industry sees as up and coming gets burned through in 1 year for two old friends in Shurmur and Sapp. Well it will always be a chaotic ride…. https://t.co/xAizx9Aw2g

I'm starting to worry about Colorado. It's no positive momentum right now with them. https://t.co/81pbcKisbj

Took one season for Deion to run everyone off. https://t.co/ZFZ2R8EGHg

It certainly wasn’t a good first season for Sanders at Colorado, and things don’t seem to be going his way during the offseason, either. We’ll have to see how he handles it.
