Despite a strong start to the 2023 college football where they won their first three games, the Colorado Buffaloes had a pretty rough first season under new head coach Deion Sanders, finishing with just a 4-8 record and missing a bowl game. The team undoubtedly hopes to perform far better next season, but oddsmakers don’t necessarily see that happening.

This week, SportsBetting.ag rolled out an early over/under prop bet on Colorado’s win total for the 2024 season, and the projection is not great for the Buffaloes. The win total is currently set at six games – which is also the number of wins required for a team to earn bowl eligibility. The odds for the “under” on the win total are set at -200 and the “over” odds are set at +150.

These odds, of course, indicate that it’s more likely than not that Deion Sanders and the Buffs miss a bowl game once again next season, finishing with under six wins.

The good news for Colorado is that this is just an early prop bet roughly eight months before the start of the season. There’s still plenty of time to change this projection and improve the roster potentially through the transfer portal.

But early on, it doesn’t sound like Vegas is going to be too high on Colorado heading into next season.
