Deion Sanders doesn't know where Mt. Rushmore is Deion Sanders doesn’t know where Mt. Rushmore is

The Colorado Buffaloes are paying Deion Sanders nearly $30 million over five years to coach their football team. Thankfully for everyone involved, they aren’t paying him to give anybody geography lessons.

This week, Deion Sanders accidentally revealed to members of the media that he had absolutely no idea where Mt. Rushmore was located – or what it was, for that matter.

During a press conference, Sanders made reference to “those little four heads” – apparently not fully realizing they were former United States presidents – which he believed to be located in California.

“What’s those little four heads that’s in California? What do they call those? The people faces, engraved?” Sanders asked.

The media contingent realized he was referring to Mt. Rushmore, but quickly informed him that the sculpture is located in South Dakota, not California.

“It’s in where?” Sanders asked. “I thought it was in LA all this time?”

Members of the media quickly realized that Sanders was mixing up Mt. Rushmore with the Hollywood sign, which is located in Los Angeles.

“Wow… My geography!” laughed Sanders. “That’s the Hollywood thing? That’s what I thought – I’m sorry! Thank for you educating me. Jesus… South Dakota?”

Thankfully for everyone involved, there isn’t all that much geography involved in coaching football.
