North Carolina Tar Heels star quarterback Drake Maye is widely considered one of the top quarterbacks and overall NFL Draft prospects in the country. But while he would almost certainly be a top-5 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft if he chose to declare, he hasn’t made up his mind just yet.

Following North Carolina’s 39-20 loss to NC State on Saturday, Drake Maye was asked whether or not he intends to leave North Carolina and enter the NFL Draft. But he said he hasn’t made that decision just yet.

“I’m not really sure,” Maye said according to On3. “I got to sit down with my family. Make some decisions. At the end of the day, being a Tar Heel, playing in Carolina blue, has meant the world to me. Been a dream come true. We didn’t finish out the right way, but may have another chance to do that.”

Maye also has not decided whether or not he will play in a bowl game with North Carolina.

“I haven’t made that decision yet. A lot of things weigh into it,” Maye said. “But, obviously, I’d love to get one more chance out here with these guys. With [Cedric Gray] standing here in the back, I just told him, ‘I’ll go to war with him no matter what, man.’”

It will certainly be interesting to see what Maye decides to do.
