The Georgia Bulldogs are at the top of the college football world after winning back-to-back national championships the past two years, and they just got even more good news on Monday as the team landed the No. 1 quarterback in the 2024 high school recruiting class.

On Monday afternoon, five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola – the consensus top quarterback and top overall player in the 2024 high school recruiting class – announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs.

“Athens, GA is Home!!! I’m a Dawg!! Go Dawgs,” Dylan Raiola said on Twitter, announcing his college decision.

Raiola initially committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes last year but walked back his commitment back in December. Now, he’s headed to the program that just handed Ohio State its most recent loss on the field.

It’s obviously a massive pickup for the Georgia Bulldogs as they look to build a dynasty in college football, and it generated plenty of buzz on social media.

It’s worth noting that this announcement didn’t come out of nowhere. Former NFL quarterback and current football analyst Dan Orlovsky actually spoiled the announcement earlier in the day, indicating that Raiola would be committing to the Bulldogs. Orlovsky was a former teammate of Raiola’s father, Dominic Raiola, with the Detroit Lions.
