The top quarterback in the 2024 college football recruiting class is five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola out of Phoenix, Arizona. This weekend, he took a visit to Lincoln, Nebraska to visit with Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. It sounds like the visit went pretty well.

Raiola attended a Nebraska basketball game and received a very warm welcome from Husker fans. It was a pretty special moment for him.

“I’ve never experienced anything close to that!” Raiola told 247Sports. “Those fans are the best and they have always showed my family love! It means a lot. It’s a blessing to be able to experience these fans at these games! They always show out for their Husker sports! It’s a great sight to see!”

If new head coach Matt Rhule were able to get Raiola to commit to playing for Nebraska, it would be a massive tone-setter for his attempt to rebuild the once-proud program.

It probably also doesn’t hurt that his uncle Donovan is Nebraska’s offensive line coach.

Raiola is said to be considering Nebraska, Georgia and USC, among other schools. He was initially committed to Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes early in the recruiting process, but de-committed from the school back in December.
