Defensive lineman D’Antre Robinson will join the Florida Gators this fall as a freshman. The Gators signee figures to make an impact on the field, and he already has off the field.
A video circulated online of Robinson making an incredible gesture to his mother. Robinson gifted his mom a new house that, according to On3, was spent with Robinson’s NIL earnings at the University of Florida.
On3 was among those to broadcast the video of the moment, which went viral on Tuesday.
“HEARTWARMING: Florida DL signee D’Antre Robinson surprised his mother with a new home on Valentine’s Day using his NIL earnings,” On3 wrote. On3 posted the video on X, the popular website known as Twitter.

This obviously shows the positive effects NIL can have. Before this, well… some shadier dealings for houses might have been done in the recruiting world (Just ask Reggie Bush). Now though, the operation can be a bit smoother.
So, good on D’Antre Robinson. He clearly has his head on his shoulders and knows what’s important. This gesture was certainly heartwarming and a lot of people poured out to express their own joy over it.
My program will not be doing this for recruits in NCAA 25 🙅🏽♂️ I need they family living check to check so they give they all out there on that field https://t.co/abq5Aupo7w

Sometimes, online can be a bad place. Other times, like when moments like this happen, it can be amazing to see what can happen.
