Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis suffered a gruesome injury late in the first quarter of Saturday night’s game against North Alabama.
The undefeated and No. 4 ranked Seminoles unexpectedly fell behind the Lions 13-0 in the first quarter. Travis took off on a quarterback run and picked up a first down. Right around midfield, a North Alabama defender grabbed him from behind. As Travis was trying to free himself, he was hit by another defender. When the television cameras got a clear shot of his leg, it was noticeably clear that something was wrong.
Both teams gathered around the injured quarterback immediately before Travis was carted off of the field.

Note: Anyone who wishes to see the injury can do so here (H/T Mr Matthew CFB on Twitter/X) but be warned, it’s graphic.
Former Florida State and current New Orleans Saints quarterback Jameis Winston was at Saturday’s game and sent a positive message to Travis.

Others in the college football world sent their best wishes to Travis after the injury, as well.
Jordan Travis pulled FSU out of the depths of hell and made them a title contender again.
We’re all forever indebted to him. Such a great dude. Hate that it’s ending this way. Let’s remember the good times.

Still trying to process this half. Impressive job by Tate to lead FSU to 24 straight points to close it out. But, man, I don't think I've ever felt worse for a player I've covered than I do for Jordan Travis right now. Just an awful end to a great, great career.
