Josh Kelly, who put together an impressive first season in Pullman, will enter the NCAA transfer portal for the second consecutive offseason.

Kelly, who previously played for Washington State, will don a different uniform in the 2024 season if he gets his wishes.

The news of Kelly’s reported transfer from Wazzu came from 247Sports’ Chris Hummer.

Washington State WR Josh Kelly has entered the @247SportsPortal,” Hummer reported along with Matt Zenitz.

Kelly spent his redshirt junior season at Wazzu after previously starring at Fresno State. In Kelly’s 2021 r-freshman season at Fresno State, he earned an All-Mountain West Honorable Mention for his play. Kelly played in all 13 games (9 starts) and was the team’s second-leading receiver with 52 receptions for 778 yards with three touchdowns. He averaged 59.8 yards receiving per game, 15 yards per catch, and led his team with three 100-yard receiving performances.

Last season, Kelly played in just six games, totaling 12 receptions for 207 yards. He followed that up by transferring to Washington State, where he hauled in 61 receptions for 923 yards with eight touchdowns, as his decision to move to a Power Five program was met with immediate success.

Suitors likely won’t be too hard to find for Kelly, whose untapped potential is sure to attract. Despite his experience, he holds the promise of growth, making him an enticing prospect for teams seeking a stud wide receiver in the portal.

The transfer portal has been seriously active on Thursday and it figures to heat up even more as time goes on.
