Kamryn Babb

It’s safe to say that Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Kamryn Babb has had a tough football career. Even though he came to Ohio State as one of the top wide receiver prospects in the country coming out of high school, he has not been able to stay healthy and has been sidelined for the vast majority of his Ohio State career. But on Saturday afternoon, Babb made his first career catch – and it was for a touchdown.

Late in the fourth quarter of Ohio State’s blowout win over the Indiana Hoosiers, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day drew up a play that was specially designed to get Babb open for a touchdown, and it worked like a charm. Babb streaked across the field, burning the Indiana defense, and C.J. Stroud threw a perfect ball to him near the left sideline and Babb pulled it in for a touchdown.

Given everything Kamryn Babb has gone through, suffering four different ACL tears throughout his career, his teammates absolutely mobbed him in celebration.

It was an incredibly heartwarming moment, and the college football world had plenty to say about it on Saturday afternoon.

It was a special moment that was certainly a long time coming for Babb.
