Good genes count for a lot in sports, and Henry Hasselbeck won the genetic lottery as the son of three-time Pro Bowl quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.
The high school star, a rising senior, faces a decision about his college future, but he’s already received several scholarship offers, and this week landed his most lucrative offer yet, from the Michigan State Spartans.
Hasselbeck, a three-star recruit who plays at Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, Mass., says he’s “fired up” about the offer, tweeting, “I’m honored to be offered by @MSU_Football!”
Matt Hasselbeck is stoked about the offer, too.

The 6-foot-3 Hasselbeck is the No. 49 rated QB in the Class of 2024, according to 247Sports.com.
He’s also received offers from Boston College, Pittsburgh, Army, Georgia Tech and UConn, among other schools. Hasselbeck has committed to playing lacrosse at Maryland.
Matt Hasselbeck played 17 seasons in the NFL, posting his best seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and the Tennessee Titans. He’s served as an analyst with ESPN since 2016.
