The Big Ten released its future schedules on Thursday to significant fanfare. The conference anticipates the arrival of Southern Cal, Oregon, UCLA, and Washington next season to expand to 18 teams. Because of that, the schedules were in flux. But the schedules from 2024-28 were unveiled. While the hullabaloo goes around, one thing is certain: Michigan has a brutal road ahead of them in 2024.

The Wolverines’ 2024 conference slate is loaded. They’ll host rivals Michigan State and Minnesota while also hosting Northwestern. Big Ten newcomers Oregon and Southern Cal will travel to the Big House in Ann Arbor though for fascinating encounters. Meanwhile, the road schedule for Michigan features two premier matchups: The Wolverines head to Columbus for their annual battle against Ohio State. Additionally, the Wolverines head to Seattle to take on the Washington Huskies.
Combined with matchups against Fresno State and Texas in the nonconference slate, this schedule makes for a gauntlet of a schedule. On paper, Michigan will have its hands full. While critics have pointed at their schedule this year as being ‘weak,’ they certainly won’t be saying that next season.
The Wolverines are currently one of the best teams in college football. The second-ranked Wolverines continue Big Ten play this weekend against rival Minnesota for the Little Brown Jug.
College football fans and personalities chimed in on Michigan and their brutal 2024 schedule.
