One thing many college football fans have noticed recently is how Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has had a calmer demeanor on the sidelines.

Saban just confessed on “The Pat McAfee Show” that he broke a blood vessel in his eye recently because he was yelling too much.

At first, Saban had no idea what happened then finally confessed as to what the doctor said it might have come from.

“[The doctor] comes to see me after practice today,” Saban said. “And, he looks at me and he said, ‘You been coughing?’ And I said, ‘No.’ And he said, ‘You know, you can get this from yelling.'”

Saban added “He said, ‘You got it from yelling. There’s nothing wrong with you. You just got it from yelling. You busted a blood vessel in your eye from yelling too much.'”

McAfee and his co-host got a good laugh at the coach’s expense. Even Saban got a good laugh out of it, saying  “It looks like I’ve been in a gang fight and my gang didn’t show.”

Saban was holding back on his players until his wife Terry gave him permission to start yelling at them again. Maybe she needs to tell the coach to dial it back just a little.
