The Oregon Ducks will join the Big Ten Conference in the 2024 season. On Thursday, we found out how things will begin for the Ducks after they flee the Pac-12. The Big Ten released Oregon and everyone else’s future schedules for conference play from 2024 through 2028.
“B1G News. The @bigten has announced conference matchups for 2024-28,” the Ducks’ football account posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Next season, the Ducks will host Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State, and Ohio State. They’ll also host longtime rival Washington, which was tabbed as a protected rivalry. The Ducks will travel to Ann ARbor to play Michigan, West Lafayette to play Purdue, Madison to play Wisconsin, and L.A. to resume their series with UCLA.

It’s a pretty fun schedule for Oregon, who’ll get a taste of everything. They get four new opponents on the home schedule. Elsewhere, they get to go to three relatively new places in Ann ARbor, West Lafayette, and Madison. Oregon and Wisconsin have played in numerous Rose Bowls, most recently 2019. The Ducks and Wolverines played each other in the early 2000s and took both matchups. In fact, Oregon famously went into the Big House a week after the shocking Appalachian State upset, and carved the Wolverines up.
We’ll see how things play out for them. But Oregon will be tested in a big way next season.
The college football world reacted to the Oregon announcement.
