Oregon uniforms Credit: Oregon Football

Oregon head coach Dan Lanning scolded Deion Sanders and Colorado for doing things for “clicks” a few weeks back, but that struck many as hypocritical given the way the Ducks often break out weird uniforms that beg to be noticed.

That’s certainly the case on Saturday as the No. 8 Ducks head to Seattle to take on No. 7 Washington in a huge Pac-12 showdown. The Ducks marked the occasion by wearing eggshell uniforms that feature a silver helmet and eggshell-designed jerseys and pants.

This isn’t the first time they’ve worn this combination. Oregon broke out the eggshell in 2021 for a road game against UCLA and also wore them in the Pac-12 title game later that season. They also wore them last season when they traveled to take on the Colorado Buffaloes.

At 5-0, the Ducks have a lot to play for on Saturday. Not only do they have a chance to give their rival its first loss of the season but they can catapult to the top of the Pac-12 and set quarterback Bo Nix up for a potential Heisman Trophy run.

In the meantime, the college football world had some interesting thoughts about the unique uniforms.

We’ll see if Oregon can move to 4-1 while wearing these unis.
