Texas Longhorns starting quarterback Quinn Ewers returned to the team’s lineup this week after missing two games with a shoulder injury. And in the days following the game, it sounds like Ewers is doing just fine in terms of recovery.

During his press conference this week, Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian revealed that while Quinn Ewers was “a little sore” after his first game back from the shoulder injury, he is back at practice and “did fine.”

“For us with Quinn, naturally he was a little sore,” Sarkisian said according to On3. “But he threw today, operated, and did fine. As the weeks go on, if we can continue to protect like we did the other night he’s only going to continue to get better and more healthy.”

Ewers is continuing to recover from the injury and regain his strength, but Sarkisian still feels comfortable with the team’s passing attack if the Longhorns need to push it downfield.

“We’re more than comfortable — If the plan needs to be that we need to throw it around, we’re more than capable,” Sarkisian added. “Our offensive line is more than capable, Quinn is more than capable. Receiving corps and tight ends, things of that nature.”

It’s clear that Texas is happy to have him back in the lineup.
