The Texas Longhorns are heading into their final regular season game of the season on Friday night against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, and it sounds like they’ll be close to full strength.
During his press conference this week, Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian addressed the several injuries sustained during the team’s win over the Iowa State Cyclones this weekend, making it clear that he thinks all of those players will be available for Friday’s game.
“Injury wise, I feel actually pretty good on a Monday, coming out of a physical game Saturday night,” Sarkisian said according to On3. “We had a variety of guys that kind of went down. I don’t foresee any of those guys being out Friday.
“So obviously we need to monitor that as the week goes, but I do feel confident enough today that we’ll be, we’ll have — everybody that was available Saturday night, will be available Friday. Again, probably a better served question for later in the week, when we really get to practice.”
This is obviously good news for the Longhorns as they try to put another win toward their College Football Playoff resume at the end of the season ahead of Big 12 title game.
