The TCU Horned Frogs are still undefeated.

The Horned Frogs went into Waco to face the rival Baylor BearsBig Noon Kickoff was in attendance as well. It was a huge game and the 10-0 Horned Frogs took the best shot from Baylor. But ineptitude from the Bears late allowed TCU to be gifted another shot. They took advantage and won with a good, old-fashioned fire drill field goal.

The win for TCU didn’t come easy. It looked like they were going to go down in a brutal fashion. They scored late to make it 28-26. A 2-point conversion attempt went sour for the Horned Frogs though.

But Baylor didn’t move the ball at all on their ensuing possession. TCU took their extra chance and made the most of it. The Horned Frogs are now 11-0 and should remain in the Top 4 in the College Football Playoff Rankings.

The wild finish produced a lot of ballyhoo from the college football world.

Alex Kirshner tweeted, “TCU just intentionally ran a fire-drill field goal with a college kicker in one of the biggest moments in program history and got away with it. Hilarious. Team of Destiny. 15 and 0 incoming.”

Others had similar reactions. Wes Rucker of 247Sports tweeted, “There’s no way TCU is one of the four best teams in college football, but that team has serious guts. Take nothing away from the marbles.”
