The Mississippi State Bulldogs defeated the East Tennessee State Buccaneers, 56-7, on Saturday.
After the game, an SEC Network sideline reporter asked Bulldogs coach Mike Leach about his planned Thanksgiving plate. The coach reacted as only he can.

“Oh I always make the gravy and I do make great gravy,” Leach said. “I’m not a big cook…I haven’t been…but I’ve made the gravy for decades. I always get uh white meat, a little stuffing but not too much, some mashed potatoes, gravy over everything. Hopefully they have greens, they generally don’t and then a corner of green beans, never sweet potatoes, and I like fruit pies better than this pumpkin apple stuff.”
When asked about sauce, Leach gave a more straightforward answer.
“Yeah but just a quick little droplet of it. I’m not going to get carried away with that either.”
The CFB world was quick to react to Leach’s latest antics:
This man is a national treasure. Decades of great gravy making in Leach household 😂😂😂 https://t.co/bk1jC1ThT5

It’s dressing not stuffing coach. The SEC might have to fine him for that. https://t.co/nJVzI7sFyn

They knew exactly what they were doing when they asked him this question. There was no way his answer was going to be shorter than a minute 😂 https://t.co/F7rvErZvv0

Not everyone was amused, however:

“His biggest concern better be not dropping to 18-18 overall and 0-3 against Ole Miss,” one fan wrote.
Leach and the Bulldogs are next in action Nov. 26th when they face their rivals, the Ole Miss Rebels.
