T'Vondre Sweat T’Vondre Sweat

It’s not often that a college football team draws up a play to throw the ball to a 362-pound defensive tackle downfield, especially in a big game, but that’s exactly what the Texas Longhorns did on Saturday – and it worked to perfection.

During the first quarter of Texas’ Big 12 Championship Game matchup with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, the Texas Longhorns found themselves in a 1st-and-goal situation at the Oklahoma State two-yard line, and they decided to draw up a play specifically for 362-pound defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat.

In the short-yardage situation, Texas faked the run and Sweat slipped into the end zone behind the defense, wide open for a touchdown that put the Longhorns up 21-7 early in the game.

Sweat celebrated his first-ever touchdown reception in a fitting way, striking the Heisman Trophy pose in the end zone.

It was an incredible moment for everyone involved, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

There’s no question that this was certainly a big moment for the defensive lineman in a massive game, and it’s safe to say that he made the most out of it with his celebration.

That’s what college football is all about.
