Urban Meyer went 7-0 as head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes versus the University of Michigan Wolverines, which makes it understandable why Michigan fans would want to troll the man about his recent career follies as they’ve been given a chance to do Saturday.

Urban and the FOX Big Noon Saturday show are in Ann Arbor ahead of #4 Michigan’s game against the University of Maryland Terrapins. Fans are traditionally allowed to bring signage to wave in the back of the set to create the college atmosphere we love to know, but FOX had a peculiar rule in effect for this week’s broadcast:

“Devastated to report that FOX Big Noon Saturday has a ‘No signs about Urban Meyer’ policy in effect today,” tweeted Michigan insider reporter Alejandro Zúñiga.

Whether we’re talking about Meyer’s infamous lap dance in his own steakhouse or his in-season firing with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the possibilities would have been endless. Though we will never know what Michigan and Maryland fans could have conjured, the college football world was quick to react to the policy:

Meyer recently commented that he had no interest in returning to head coaching and enjoyed being a well-compensated analyst since it allowed for better life balance. Only time will tell if this is the time he stays in the analyst booth.
