NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe has been a staple on the FS1 hit show Undisputed alongside Skip Bayless. However, the two will be parting ways after the 2023 NBA Finals.
Sharpe has been a co-host on Undisputed for seven years alongside Bayless, but that will soon be coming to an end.
Ryan Glasspiegel of The New York Post broke the news that Sharpe and Fox Sports, the parent company of FS1, have reached a buyout agreement. He is expected to have his final show on Undisputed after the 2023 NBA Finals conclude in June.
Sharpe, along with Bayless and the entire show, is obviously either loved or hated by sports fans, which led to a number of varying reactions to this news from the sports world.
Not Surprised. Shannon Sharpe has grown tired of Skip Bayless immature BS.
That segment where skip blatantly disrespected Shannon Sharpe's Hall of Fame career to support Tom Brady was the final straw. https://t.co/HiosJTXjgt

Now that Sharpe will no longer be with Fox Sports, some even threw out the idea of him potentially joining Stephen A. Smith on ESPN’s First Take.

Things seemed to be heading this way, with Bayless and Sharpe arguing even more than usual in recent months. Perhaps the most notable dispute started with a controversial tweet from Bayless about the Damar Hamlin situation, which Sharpe proceeded to blast him about on live television.
There are certainly plenty of questions that now linger over the landscape of the sports world after this news. Who will Bayless ultimately work with next after Sharpe’s departure? What is next for Sharpe if he does want to stay in the sports media landscape?
We will get these answers soon enough, but this was certainly a bombshell.
