LIV Golf star Brooks Koepka dealt with some drama last month when news broke that Matthew Wolff would be leaving the Smash GC LIV Golf team that Koepka captains. And it doesn’t sound like Koepka is going to be welcoming him back anytime soon.

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Brooks Koepka absolutely blasted Matt Wolff, seemingly frustrated with Wolff’s decision to withdraw from May’s event in Washington, D.C.

“I mean, when you quit on your round, you give up and stuff like that, that’s not competing,” Koepka told Sports Illustrated. “I’m not a big fan of that. You don’t work hard. It’s very tough. It’s very tough to have even like a team dynamic when you’ve got one guy that won’t work, one guy is not going to give any effort, he’s going to quit on the course, break clubs, gets down, bad body language, it’s very tough. I’ve basically given up on him—a lot of talent, but I mean the talent’s wasted.”

It’s not clear what Koepka’s team will look like next year, but after these rather blunt comments from the Smash GC captain, it’s now become extremely clear that Wolff will not be competing alongside him.
